Photovoice is based on the understanding that people are experts on their own lives.
As a passionate photographer and academic in the health sector, I am fascinated about visual storytelling and transformative education. Through my work with Photovoice, I have found a powerful tool to connect the real world with academic knowledge, promoting positive changes in people’s lives and communities.
As a Lecturer in the Community Services Course, a Member of the Social Justice Research Network, and a Lead Consultant at the Social Enterprise Hub at Torrens University Australia, I am committed to spreading the use of Photovoice. I aim to utilise this methodology to document, raise awareness, and catalyse social change.
